Can using Rescue Root damage my phone?

  • No. Rescue Root has been specifically designed to not damage or brick Android devices. If your device is a model which cannot safely be rooted, our software will automatically detect and prevent this. The only way a device could be damaged during the rooting process is if you were to disconnect the device or PC during the rooting process, so for your safety, ensure that  both your phone and PC remain powered and connected during the process

Help, I have received the error message ‘You are running a version of Android that is currently not supported…’

  • If you receive this message, you are likely trying to root an unsupported device running Android 3.x or 4.0.3 and newer. Please refer to the website for updates and try again at a later date.

When I try to root my device I receive the error message ‘Unable to find Android device…’

  • This message usually occurs when the proper ADB drivers for your Android device have not been installed on your machine. Our universal driver attempts to support all devices, but in some cases you may need to manually install the drivers from the device manufacturer’s website.
  • ADB drivers are notoriously unreliable, so sometimes trying a second time or restarting your PC if you have installed the drivers and are still getting this error message.
  • The error can also occur if USB debugging is not enabled on your Android device
