Acer Liquid Gallant Duo: Review

I have always found it a shame that phones are so disposable nowadays. Everyone is in it for the upgrade while I am perfectly content with having the same phone for numerous years before finding the willpower to change it. That is why I am decidedly upset over the lack of care that goes into making phones any more than entertainment to be disposed of these days. I tend to use my phone for calling and texting, however I do use it to download interesting apps for socializing and work and I also keep numerous picture files on it. Therefore, I can use pretty much any phone on the market these days. However, since an updated version of these phones comes out every six months or so, these phones are only made to last six months or so. I was so angry when my last one died, the third one in a year, that I swore that this phone would be the last I got and that if it broke I would just make do without it. I’m not made of money! The phone I bought was an Acer Liquid Gallant Duo and I’m glad I bought it.

The first thing I noticed about this phone is that it is a lot bigger than a lot of them on the market right now. That might be a turn off for some people, but for me it was a blessing. Smaller phones tend to break easier and I like a good sturdy one and that is exactly what this one is! It definitely has no intentions of snapping on me anytime soon! The downside of its size is that it is a little heavy for me to carry around in my pocket, however it is perfect for my handbag so that is only a minor detail.

It also has a dual SIM card slot, however I’m not entirely sure what this would be useful for myself, but I’m sure it is a great thing to other people. I’m really delighted personally with the quality of the images on the screen as it has a great definition standard. The screen is much bigger than most other devices too, taking up the majority of the front of the device. I wish it had a front facing camera so I could take even more photos than I already do with it, but we can win them all. Another great thing about it is that it holds an awful lot of stuff. It has over four thousand megabytes of memory on it which is perfect for keeping all my photos and videos and even text messages safe on my device! It’s super fast at loading apps as well, even though it only has a single core processor. It is much faster than any other phone I’ve had!

So, all in all, I am delighted that I chose this phone! It is much better than not having one at all and I recommend it!
